The inaugural Gem Sri Lanka 2024, the largest post-Covid international exhibition held out of Colombo, will be staged from January 11 to 13, at the Cinnamon Bentota Beach Resort.

Organised by the Chinafort Gem and Jewellery Traders Association (CGJTA), this premier event has been endorsed and supported by several government institutions.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, will be the chief guest on January 11 and several ambassadors and Ministers too will attend.

The event has received overwhelming response from international buyers both from the USA. Europe, UK and Asia including a large delegation from China as there will be no entry fee with several tourists also attending.

“Due to this all nearby hotels have been booked up helping them to gain additional revenue,” said CGJTA Vice Chairman Rizwan Nayeem.

Over 60 Sri Lankan stalls would be displaying their products, services and craftsmanship at this event. The event will help them to find new buyers and even help them to seal new joint ventures. The event will also create more interest among youth to join the industry.
