The People’s Bank’s ‘Mahajana Mehewara’ initiative, known for its commitment to social responsibility, recently launched the ‘Husma Bedana Like Ekak’ campaign with a tree-planting event at K.B. Rathnayaka Maha Vidyalaya in Anuradhapura.

Anuradhapura Regional Manager of People’s Bank, Asitha Danawalawithana and Principal of K.B. Rathnayaka Maha Vidyalaya, Deepika Kumarasinghe were also present.

The gathering included contributions from bank staff members, teachers, and officers and members of the Kalana Mithuru Foundation.

In a eco-friendly twist, People’s Bank is set to plant a sapling for every 100 Likes garnered on its Facebook page. This innovative approach not only encourages engagement on social media but also underscores the bank’s dedication to both banking and environmental sustainability.
