The documentary film ‘Siri Ranasinghe Rupavalokana’ produced based on the life character of former Editor-in-Chief of Lankadeepa, veteran journalist Siri Ranasinghe will be released at the Senate Council of Sri Jayewardenepura University on January 9 at 5.00 pm. It has been directed by Krishantha Dayananda and produced by Nilan de Silva.
Ranasinghe, who has worked as a professional journalist for over fifty years, has held the position of Editor-in-Chief of the daily Lankadeepa newspaper, a publication of the Wijaya Newspaper Company, for 33 years. He also worked as the Editor of Sirikatha women’s newspaper and Sunday Lankadeepa newspaper for some time.
Ranasinghe, who is also a Director of Wijaya Newspaper Company, was a member of the Governing Council of the Sri Jayewardenepura University for some time and is currently a member of the Governing Council of the Kelaniya University.
