Green light for women’s selector

Former Sri Lanka opening batsman and wicket-keeper Hemantha Devapriya has been asked to continue as the Chairman of the women’s cricket National Selection Committee.

He will be assisted by former women’s national cricketers Rasanjali de Alwis, Sripali Weerakkody and Thilaka Gunaratne to work in the four-member committee.

The appointed Selection Committee’s first assignment will be to pick the squad for the Sri Lanka women’s tour of South Africa that is scheduled to take place in March.
