Brooks Running shoes, said to be the world’s fastest and most scientific athletic footwear officially hit the track in Sri Lanka at a launch in Colombo yesterday and its promoters claim it’s the ultimate in speed, innovation and agility for sportsmen and women.
The Brooks shoe will be championed by Sri Lanka fast bowling all-round cricketer Chamikara Karunaratne and promoted by local partner Asriel Holdings who contend the product ties up well with the country’s fitness craze.
“When I first started playing cricket I did not give much thought to my footwear, but based on feedbacks from international cricketers I decided to try Brooks Running and that has helped me in my training and performance. As a fast bowler these shoes are a game changer for me,” said Karunaratne at the launch as he called on Sri Lankan athletes to invest in the shoe.
Asriel Holdings who are a food solutions provider under the Chariot brand name said Running Shoes in Sri Lanka will commence operations fully before March.
Brooks shoes come in an assorted array of colours and is being touted as the “best running experience and preferred choice for athletes and runners” the world over.
