The Government will decorate public institutions and buildings with lights, in view of Sri Lanka’s 76th National Independence Day celebrations.

The Ministry of Home Affairs in a circular has instructed the heads of public institutions to decorate the buildings of public institutions with electric bulbs on February 3 and 4.

The heads of Government institutions have been asked in the circular, to light bulbs in a suitable manner and to inform all institutions under them in this regard.

The circular has also given instructions to raise the National Flag at all Government buildings for a week from February 1 to 7 during Independence Day celebrations.
