It will be a battle of the coaches as it will be a battle of the only unbeaten two clubs this season Kandy Sports Club the defending champions and present table leaders and second placed CR and FC today at Nittawela in their first round rugby match that is expected to be a blockbuster.

Both teams are well guided by their respective coaches Fazil Marija of Kandy SC and Dushanth Lewke of CR and the battle could be up-front between the two sets of forwards in particular.

Both teams are blessed with the best players in the League who have been keeping the club rugby scene up and running.

Kandy SC have been so unbeatable and professional in their approach which is what separates them from the rest in the fray and CR will have to do something special to bring the Nittawela team onto its knees.

For this all important game the whistle will be handled by Gehan Yatawara.

Kandy SC enjoy a better track and home advantage record that gives them the upper hand and makes them firm favouritves to win today.

But it does not mean that Kandy SC will want to rest on their past laurels as CR have the knack to spring an underdog surprise.

One thing is certain and that will be that nothing is asked or given with little or no margin for error.
