Teams from India, Australia and the Maldives have shown a keen interest in participating at the Masters Basketball Championships to be held on March 3, 8, 9 and 10 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
The tournament is organized and conducted by Masters Basketball Sri Lanka (MBSL) and more than 60 local teams, both men and women are likely to participate.
Teams from Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Jaffna, Kandy, Kurunegala, Galle, Ambalangoda, Matara, Kegalle, Colombo and Moratuwa have shown interest to participate in this tournament according to Gayath Jayasinghe, president of MBSL.
The age limit for men and women will be 30 plus to 60 plus.
Entries for this tournament will close on February 14 with Basil Silva at 6 pm and the draw will be held on February 21 at the BRC pavilion.
Late entries will not be accepted according to the organizers and more information can be obtained from Silva on 0714147013.
