Twenty leading schools will be in the fray at the 14th inter-school Invitation football tournament for the Oxford President’s Cup Challenge Trophy 2024 organized by the Group of 80s of Hameed Al Husseinie College, Colombo will commence on February 3 in at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The main sponsor of the tournament Oxford Group and its Directors Imtiyaz Farook and Hifaz Farook presented the sponsorship to the principal of the Hameed Al Husseinie College M.R.M. Risky at a Press conference held at the Football Federation Auditorium, Colombo on Wednesday January 24.
This year Ananda College, De Mazenod College, Aligar Central College, St. Benedict’s College, St Mary’s College, Maris Stella College, Hameed Al Husseinie College, Baduriya Central College, St. Joseph’s College, St. Peter’s College, Gateway College, Wesley College, S. Thomas’ College, Royal College, Al Mubarak College, Darussalam College, Isipathana College, Dharmadutha College, Al Hilal Central College and Al Humaizara College will participate in the tournament. Group of ‘80 President Faizal Buhary, Secretary Fazmin Faiz and Tournament Committee Chairman Mujeebdeen Rahman also graced the media launch.
