The National Age Group Relay swimming championship 2024 organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU), will have leading schools and clubs take the plunge at the Sugathadasa Stadium Swimming Complex on January 28.

Leading the way among the boys’ schools is Ananda College who won the previous championship and Lyceum International School Wattala who emerged the girls overall championship title.

However, other leading schools teams from St. Joseph’s College and Visakha Vidyalaya will be there to offer stiff competition this year.

Swimmers vying for honours will be in the age categories of Under-11, 13, 15, 17, 20 and Open (Over-20).

SLASU will offer points to winners in each age category.

Gold medallists will earn 20 points, silver medallists 15 points and bronze medallists 12 points.

Points will also be given to swimmers who finish in the final eight positions. Fourth place will get 10 points, eight points for fifth place, six for sixth place, four for seventh place and two for eighth placed swimmers.
