The Sri Lanka Branch of AVIC-ENG donated living and learning material toLawris Children’s Home, in a ceremony organised by the Company on January 19, 2024 under the theme of “Spread Love with Heartfelt Grace”
Representing AVIC- ENG, Deputy General Manager Lyu Kai handed over the goods to the Dean and the children at this ceremony, who were delighted by the benevolence of the Company and responded with a genuine smile on their faces.
Lyu Kai extended the greetings of AVIC- ENG to the children and the staff of Lawris Children’s Homeat the dawn of 2024 with blessings of God while stating that “We hope that the Orphanage will attract more attention from the society and the children will grow up healthily and happily.”
Manager of the Orphanage, Ms. Ayesha Maduwanthi, expressed the gratitude for the benevolence of AVIC-ENG for the wellbeing of the children on behalf of Lawris Children’s Homeduring the vote of thanks. She said that they have been pleased and delighted over the continual effort of AVIC-ENG to keep the children brought up in a happy environment for the last seven years with a great love.
AVIC-ENG as a responsible corporate business entity operating in Sri Lanka always gives much prominence for its commitment towards discharging corporate social responsibilities since 2010 by undertaking the first project of A 9 Road in the Northern war-torn area.
The Company has done various public charitable projects including construction of Roads for government troops, drilling wells for remote villagers, donating learning material for impoverished primary schools, providing living necessities to Nursing Homes and special educational schools, donating medical equipment to the Northern Military Hospitals and taking care of victims of natural disasters in many ways.
While carrying out local projects for the state and private sector such as rebuilding of highways, runaways at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Southern expressway, Astoria Real Estate projects and water supply projects, AVIC-ENG has been providing tens and thousands of job opportunities to Sri Lankans. Purchasing material locally too benefited the building material market of the country.
One of the latest projects that concluded is AVIC Astoria Mixed Development Project. The Astoria project is a freehold mixed development luxury condominium property in Colombo 3 which comprises three residential towers of 472 units and one 15 floor commercial tower.
