Action against officials who hamper Aswesuma work

Action will be taken against all District Secretaries and key officers who hamper the Aswesuma relief program, President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake said.

Secretary Ekanayake has strongly warned the officials as it has been revealed that some groups are attempting to delay the Government’s program of providing relief to low-income groups.

Ekanayake gave this warning during a discussion with District Secretaries and senior officials at the Presidential Secretariat.
