The National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) has long been at the forefront of educational innovation in Sri Lanka, and its latest endeavour will revolutionise the landscape again.

Introducing ‘Outcome Based Learning’ (OBL), NIBM is pioneering a transformative approach aimed at equipping students with practical skills alongside traditional knowledge. NIBM will hold the Beyond Books Expo 2024 on March 7 and 8, a media release from the institute stated.

The expo will showcase the achievements of NIBM learners across various fields, including AI & Data Science, Computer Technology, Business, Fashion Design, Interior Architecture, and Agronomics. The event will be held at the Havelock City Mall, culminating in a Fashion Show on March 9, 2024.

At the heart of this initiative lies a commitment to producing career-ready graduates and raising the bar for teaching standards.

By digitising courses and fostering interactive learning environments, NIBM will ensure that students are not only well-versed in theory but also adept at applying their knowledge in real-world scenarios. The opening ceremony will be held on March 7. Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayanth will be the Chief Guest.

This event will serve as a testament to NIBM’s dedication to excellence in education and its unwavering commitment to shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.

Around 400 participants, including schoolchildren, teachers, and industry professionals will participate in the Beyond Books Expo 2024.

One of the highlights of the expo will be the NIBM Start-up showcase scheduled for March 7 evening. This session will provide a platform for budding entrepreneurs who have emerged from NIBM to showcase their ventures and share their success stories.

From groundbreaking tech startups to innovative business ventures, this event will underscore the transformative impact of NIBM’s education model, the release added.
