Trinity-St. Anthony’s one-dayer
The one-day cricket encounter between Trinity College and St. Anthony’s College, the 42nd in the series, will take place on March 23 at Katugastota for the Sir Richard Aluvihare Trophy. Trinity College has won 20 matches while the Antonians have won the encounter 17 times. One game ended in a tie with both teams making the same total.
Fonseka to lead Sri Rahula
Sri Rahula College’s rugby team will be led by HFCR Fonseka and the Sevens captain is TGA Pasidu de Silva.
Rahula College is a school with a history of over 130 years and is one of Kandy’s oldest sports promoting schools.
Battle of the Babes
The 64th Battle of the ‘Babes’ between St. Sylvester’s College and Vidyartha College is set to take place on March 29 and 30 at the Pallekele Stadium.
The winners of this encounter will be awarded the Rev. Fr. Don George Trophy.
St. Sylvester’s College leads the tally with 15 wins to Vidyartha’s three wins.
St. Sylvester’s last won in 2022 and Vidyartha last won in 1967.
