The United National Party (UNP) May Day rally will be held at the Maradana Junction under the patronage of Party Leader President Ranil Wickremesinghe. This was decided on by the UNP Management Committee which met recently.
Although it was previously discussed to hold the UNP May Day rally at Independence Square, Party Leader President Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that it would be more suitable to hold the May Day rally near the Tower Hall Theatre at Maradana junction as it is easily accessible to the people and more spacious.
One-thousand zonal organisers of the UNP have been assigned for the UNP May Day rally and party General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara has instructed that each organiser should bring 60 people to the May Day rally.
