Kilinochchi District was the venue for the fourth installment of the MILO Football Champs 2024 – Northern Province, (under-10 and 12) held on March 16 with the participation of 22 teams comprising six girls’ and 16 boys’ teams.
Emerging victorious from the Kilinochchi district were: Iranaitheevu Roman Catholic Tamil Mixed School (Boys; under-10)

Unleashing the potential of future football stars, the MILO Football Champs program aims to ignite the sportsmanship skills of aspiring athletes in the Northern Province according to officials.
Alongside the tournament, a select group of talented individuals will receive specialized training on weekends over the coming months, guided by seasoned coaches from the Sri Lanka Schools Football Association.
With the support of the Ministry of Education, Northern Province Department of Education and the sponsorship of Nestlé MILO, the Sri Lanka Schools Football Association will manage the facilitation of this program according to officials.
