Matara Thomians bat all day

St Thomas’ College continuing from their overnight score of 79/3 did not take the initiative they had and were 200/9 at stumps on day two of their three- day124th Battle of the Blues match against St. Servatius College at the Uyanwatte Stadium yesterday.

Only 75 overs of play was possible on day two due to rain and spectator invasion of the ground.

Viran Chamuditha picked up four of the six wickets to fall and ended the day with six scalps.

St Servatius first innings 131 in 43 overs (Risinu Kithmuka 28, Vishwa Supun 32, Raveen Kavintha 27, Navija de Seram 5-44, Manuga Guruge 2-26)

St Thomas’ first innings 200/9 in105 overs (Navija de Seram 49, Pesandu Sanjan 28, Kumesh Nuwanjana 53 not out, Viran Chamuditha 6-51 )
