An old Fort is in the Galle district of the Southern Province of Sri Lanka.

The Fort was originally built by the Portuguese, who colonised Sri Lanka.

Later, it was repaired by the Dutch. There is a strong stone wall around the Fort. It has old war barracks and artillery dungeons, and it also has a lighthouse and an old clock tower. The Galle Fort is designated as a World Heritage Site.

It is everyone’s duty to preserve the heritage of the Galle Fort for future generations.
