The Indian High Commission in Colombo held a Buddhist exhibition at the Sri Sambodhi Maha Vihara, Colombo 7 on Medin Poya Day.

The exhibition showcased India’s rich Buddhist heritage with a series of photographs depicting significant episodes from the life of the Buddha and some of the prominent Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India. It underlined deep cultural connect, shared heritage and history.
Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha visited the Sri Sambodhi Maha Vihara on the Poya day and took a walk-through of the exhibition. He joined the pooja ceremony along with the Chief Incumbent of the Sri Sambodhi Vihara and Chairperson of ‘Bauddhaya’ TV Channel Ven. Boralande Wajiragnana Thera.
The Buddhist exhibition is the second in the mobile exhibition series that will be showcased by High Commission in temples at Buddhist places of worship on every Poya day for this year. The inaugural exhibit was held at the Kalutara Bodhi on Navam Poya on February 23.
