Sarasaviya fetes vocalist Nanda Malani: The Lux Sarasaviya Film Festival and Awards Ceremony, considered to be the main festival of Sinhala Cinema was held on a grand scale at the BMICH, Colombo on Thursday night, March 28. Malani Fonseka, the Queen of Sinhala cinema was the Chief Guest of the event. Veteran singer Nanda Malani won the award as the best playback singer of 2020. In a moving tribute, State Minister of Women and Child Affairs and veteran actress Geetha Kumarasinghe came to Nanda Malani’s seat and presented the award to her in the presence of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena.
