The Inaugural Invitational Schools T20 cricket tournament with four schools and a Combined team will be held from April 1 to 7 at Koddaimunai Sports Village in Batticalloa.
DS Senanayake College, Prince of Wales College, Mahinda College and Thurstan College along with a Combined team will participate in this tournament conducted by Koddaimunai Sports Club and Koddaimunai Sports Village.
According to the organizers, the winners will be rewarded with Rs. 500,000 plus the Champions Trophy while the runners-up will be presented with a Rs. 250,000 cash prize.
The third placed team will receive Rs. 100,000.
The player of the tournament and player of the final will be given Rs. 75,000 each while the best bowler, best batsman and best fielder will be presented with Rs. 50,000 worth of gift vouchers according to the organizers.
The organizers will provide accommodation and food for all players from April 1 onwards while coloured clothing and white balls will also be provided.
