Peterites, Isipathana set aside rugby rivalry for cricket show

Sithuka Gunawardena (Captain- Isipathana)/Vishen Helambage (Captain - St. Peter’s)

St. Peter’s College and Isipathana College, two schools with sworn rugby rivalry, will leave aside the oval shaped ball and pick up bats and balls in cricket to decide who goes into the final of the Division One Tier B inter school two-day championships in the semi finals on April 2 and 3 at the Navy ground Welisara.

St. Peter’s beat Dharmaraja College and Isipathana beat St. Aloysius College Galle in the quarter finals.

The final will be play at the ACE Capital CC ground on April 10 and 11.

Sri Lanka youth cap Vishen Helambage will lead St. Peter’s and Sithuka Gunawardane will lead Isipathana.
