Union Assurance concluded its inaugural Inter-University Quiz competition 2024. The competition, launched with the aim of fostering intellectual engagement and celebrating the exceptional talent of Sri Lanka’s future workforce, has garnered immense participation and enthusiasm from universities across the nation.
The Inter-University Quiz Competition, is a testament to Union Assurance’s commitment to actively contribute to the development and empowerment of young minds across Sri Lanka. It embodies a key pillar of the company’s strategic plan, focusing on nurturing young talent and contributing to the sustainable progress of Sri Lanka’s economy and society.
This year’s competition had an impressive turnout, with 380 individuals forming 76 teams from 18 state and private universities vying for the championship. Following rigorous competition, the initial round led to the selection of 10 teams for the semi-finals at the Union Assurance Head Office in Colombo. From these semi-finals, four teams emerged victorious to compete in the Grand Finale.
The Grand Finale, held recently at the Galadari Hotel. Team Mavericks from the University of Kelaniya emerged as the champions of the inaugural Inter-University Quiz. Team Mind Masters from the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University secured the position of first runner-up, while Team ICBT from ICBT Campus claimed the title of second runner-up.
