Sri Lanka’s premier junior cricket coaching academy the CCC School of Cricket under veteran coach Nelson Mendis will be making a 25th tour overseas when their U-12 and U-15 teams take wing to Bangalore, India on April 10.
During the tour, they are scheduled to play eight matches against coaching academies and clubs in Bangalore.
All matches will be played on turf wickets and will provide the younger cricketers with much needed experience in different conditions.
The Under 15 team will be captained by experienced batsman Omith Ratnayake who plays for Nalanda College while the Under 12 team will have another Nalanda College junior cricketer Nadil Dodangoda as captain who has done extremely well at inter-academy tournaments with his left-arm medium fast bowling. He is also a top order batter with a series of high scores recently.
The Tour officials will be Nelson Mendis (Chief-de-Mission), Harsha Peiris (Manager), Shivalingam Ravichandra (Asst. Manager) and Thusara Hitige (Coach).
