Ananda Sastralaya dominate St. John’s on first day

Ananda Sastralaya College Kotte took a lead of 122 runs over St. John’s College in their ‘Battle of Sri Jayewardenepura’ cricket encounter that began at the P. Sara Oval yesterday.

Batting first Ananda Sastralaya notched up 204 runs with the help of Nithish Kamalasooriya who opened the innings top scoring with 86 runs. He faced 128 deliveries and hit a six and 14 fours.

Piumal Devranga bowled best to finish with four for 59 runs.

St. John’s scored 82 runs for the loss of four wickets at the close.
