As many as ten rugby playing schools have decided not to contest the inter-school Sevens rugby tournament leaving just three schools, St. Peter’s, Isipathana and Royal from which the ultimate winners could emerge.
The event marks the beginning of the new inter school rugby season for 2024 and takes place on April 20 and 21 at the Royal College Sports Complex.
The 10 schools that have decided not to be in the fray are S. Thomas’ Trinity, Wesley, DSS, Kingswood, Zahira, Thurstan, St. Anthony’s, St. Joseph’s and St. Sylvester’s.
