Convention Bureau hosts seminar on digital marketing

The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) hosted a educational session aimed at bridging the gap between digital marketing strategies and successful MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and Business Events at the auditorium of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management recently.

Led by industry experts, CMO of Meta Asp at Roar AdX, Umair Wolid and Vice President, Client Success Meta Asp at Roar AdX, Udara Dharmasena the session covered the background of digital marketing in detail, providing attendees with invaluable insights into global trends and innovative strategies tailored specifically for the events industry.

Over 100 people, including industry members and students pursuing degrees in event management and hospitality management were present.

Manager, Research, and Development and Training at the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, Ms. Kumudu Hennedige said, “We are pleased to have hosted this kind of an educational session focused on the connection of digital marketing and event management. The enthusiastic participation highlighted the industry’s growing recognition of the importance of mixing digital strategies into event planning and execution.”
