The funeral of Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement founder Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne was held with state honours at the Independence Square, Colombo yesterday. His remains were lying at the Sarvodaya Headquarters, Moratuwa, till noon yesterday. Thereafter, a funeral procession commenced from the headquarters to Independence Square, where the final religious rites were conducted followed by the cremation.
