His remains were lying at the Sarvodaya Headquarters, Moratuwa, till noon yesterday. Thereafter, a funeral procession commenced from the headquarters to Independence Square, where the final religious rites were conducted followed by the cremation. Colombo  South  International  College (CSIC), Kalubowila  celebrated  its  annual  Islamic  Day  at the College  auditorium recently.  Senior Lecturer at IMC - AIC   University, Inthikab Zufer was the chief guest. Managing Director of CSIC, Mangala  Wijekularathne,  Founder  Directress Grashanthi Wijekularathne,  CSIC Principal B. A.  Abeyrathna and Deputy Principal Ranmali Wettasinghe were also present.
