Udara Lakmal with a consistent performance throughout the tournament steered Holiday Plan DMC to emerge as the new Gold winner in the 21st Travel Trade Sports Club mixed Bowling Championships 2024 sponsored by Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts and concluded at the Strikes Cosmic Bowling Centre, Excel World Darley Road on Saturday April 20.
Udara Lakmal with a top score of 169 points in the first round continued his good form in the final round which helped Holiday Plan DMC (365) to nudge the 2023 Silver winner Exotic Holidays International ‘C’ (364) narrowly.
As many as 48 teams from 24 TTSC Member firms participated in three rounds of bowling, comprising 79 matches on seven lanes.
In the opening round, all teams consisting three players each, bowled one round each. At the completion, the top scoring 24 teams advanced to the second round and at the end of the second round, the top scoring seven teams advanced to the final round.

Bronze Winner: GO Vacations Lanka ‘A’ (350 points); team comprising: Savin Bandara, Yashan Perera and Kishin Gunaratne.
Silver Winner: Exotic Holidays International ‘C’ (364 points); team comprising: Rizwan Mannan, Hasitha Hettiarachchi and Umesh Anushka.
Gold Winner: Holiday Plan DMC (365 points); team comprising: Udara Lakmal, Rohan Jayamanne and Palani Kumar.
Special Awards: Most outstanding Player Female: Kanchana Malluwawadu from ITQ Lanka Legends; Most outstanding player Male: Udara Lakmal from Holiday Plan DMC.
