Premier Ceylon Teas & Spices has launched ‘Golden Line Cinnamon Honey tea’ to the international market.
“This is the world’s first honey tea and it’s a patent registered product which is being released after almost two years of intense research,” said the Managing Director Chief Executive Officer Premier Ceylon Teas & Spices (Pvt) Ltd Dr. Jagath Wijesekara.
This is a 100% handmade product, made to a special recipe and it does not have any colouring, flavouring or preservatives added.
He explained that the tea leaves are plucked from selected tea estates, hand rolled and then fired using cinnamon wood. He said that other raw materials like honey is being sourced from deep jungles to ensure high quality of this product.
Dr. Wijesekera also said that to make the product more attractive it comes in an attractive gold plated wooden box. This packaging also has a 22 kt golden lion engraved on it.
“This pack is designed in such away where it can be kept as a exclusive souvenir,” he said.
One of the features of this product is that the packaging is designed to be a lifetime gift and a souvenir which can also be stored as a ‘collector’s item’. Premier Ceylon Teas & Spices had earlier introduced many patented innovative products as well.
Premier Ceylon is at present researching and experimenting on several other innovative tea and spice research projects. “We are also looking at producing a tea wine range with a mild alcoholic percentage.”
