People should take to the streets with weapons – K. D. Lalkantha

Central Committee Member of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), K.D. Lalkantha told a discussion with a YouTube channel that people should take to the streets with weapons.

He had told the channel that each party should carry out a struggle armed with their own weapons and that farmers should be armed with sickles and other tools and take to the streets.

Housewives too should take to the streets with kitchen utensils, he said. Lalkantha said that people should be armed with ideology and be ready to make self-sacrifices and it is more necessary to be armed with knowledge.
