Dini Jayaweera from Gateway College Colombo clinched the Netball Queen award after leading her team to victory in the Under-14 inter-International Schools Netball Championship. Gateway College Colombo triumphed over Lyceum International School Wattala in a nail-biting final with a score of 10-8 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on Saturday (12).
Among other notable players Chenuki Perera from Colombo Gateway was recognized as the best defensive player while Rahim Nazia from Gateway College Colombo stood out as the best shooter.
Riari Wickramarachchi from Lyceum International School Wattala was awarded the best midfielder.
