With the transition of the sun from the House of Pisces to the House of Aries, Sinhala and Tamil New Year dawned, bringing all of us together.
What if we can bring the fragrance of our own cultural values to the international arena, transcending all boundaries and barriers? That momentous moment will undoubtedly be etched in our history.
Being the world’s largest global youth-led organization with over 40,000 active member base, AIESEC (International Association of Students of Economics and Commercial Sciences) promotes cross-cultural understanding among various nations by offering opportunities for international internships and volunteer experiences abroad and strengthening friendship with more than 120 countries. It is significant to highlight that AIESEC aims to develop youth’s leadership qualities through international professional placements and Global Volunteer and Global Talent experiences.
South Fest 3.0
South Fest 3.0 is considered as an annual Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration organized by AIESEC in the University of Ruhuna. On one hand, the event served as a cultural exchange program. Avurudu games attracted participants from every nook and corner of the country, adding endless joy and delight. As noted by the Vice President of the Organizing Committee, Navini Wedage, South Fest 3.0 was a golden opportunity for the youth.
“South Fest 3.0 is one of the most exciting cultural events organized by AIESEC at the University of Ruhuna to bring more than 200 undergraduates towards common goals.” She stressed.
