One of the best-loved works in the classical ballet canon, Royal Opera House in Cinema’s Swan Lake, is being screened at Scope Cinema Colombo City Centre. Today is the final day of the four-day screening.
The screening is organised by the British Council in partnership with Scope Cinema.
Swan Lake is considered classical ballet’s most powerful tale of love, treachery and forgiveness and has been rated five stars by respected publications including the Sunday Mirror. Broadway World has dubbed it a superlative performance and the opening run of the performances are sold out in the UK.
Orlando Edwards, Country Director at the British Council in Sri Lanka said: “We are very pleased to partner with Scope Cinemas to provide access to world class UK Arts as we celebrate 75 years in Sri Lanka this year.”
