Chongqing Airlines will resume operations between Chongqing, China and Colombo, from June 24.

The frequency would be three flights per week operating on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will have a stopover in the Maldives. The General Sales Agent (GSA) for Chongqing Airlines is Acorn Aviation (Pvt) Limited.

Chongqing Airlines based in Chongqing, China operates domestic passenger services within mainland China and international passenger services to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore.

The flights will help to increase Chinese arrivals which are currently at the fifth position from January to May as against being among the top two with India before the C-19 pandemic.

The airline last operated in February 2020 and stopped due to the global pandemic situation.
