I am an owl. I’m a nocturnal animal. I’m swift and silent, fierce and feathered. My pointed beak and sharp talons assist me in catching small, tasty animals.
I have a unique ability that allows me to see in the dark. It’s called night vision. My big, rounded, shining eyes lend a helping hand for me to see in the dark.
My ears are hidden within my speckled feathers. My hearing is excellent. Sometimes, I clean my feathers by splashing in a puddle. I have lengthy wings.
When I see something to eat, I lay out my wings and fly quietly through the night sky. I swoop down and grab it.
I carry it back to my home, and I use my paws to catch food. I can grip very tightly with them.
My babies are called owlets. I live in a hole in a tree. I open my beak widely and screech. Everyone says that I’m very sensible.
