Nations Trust golf attracts young and old

The Nations Trust Golf Championship is set to tee off on May 31 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) course hosted by Nations Trust Bank.

The championship will include two segments, the junior golf tournament on May 31, followed by the main event which will take place on June 1.

Golfers who impress in a wide range of categories at the championship are in line to be rewarded with attractive prizes according to the organisers.

The winners and runners-up in the men’s, women’s, masters and senior segments will be rewarded with trophies and prizes and special awards will be presented to the golfers who attain the longest drive at the eighth hole, closest to the pin on the 13th hole and the overall winner of the Tournament according to the organisers.

“Last year’s event was a success and we believe this year will offer an even better experience for our customers and business partners. We look forward to a vibrant day of golfing, camaraderie and building partnerships,” said Sanjaya Senarath, Chief Marketing Officer of Nations Trust Bank.

Captain of the RCGC Amrith de Soysa said highest sporting standards will be maintained at the event.

“The tournament will celebrate the spirit of golf and support the golfing community in Sri Lanka and significantly contribute to the growth of golf as a sport,” said Amrith de Soysa.

Nations Trust Bank has agreed to a partnership with the RCGC for the next four years and will conduct the golf championship until 2028.

It will be the most sought-after event in the golfing calendar for golf enthusiasts. Customers of Nations Trust Bank, comprising of American Express, Private Banking, and Inner Circle, will be looking forward to participate in the event.
