The Ministry of Sports has drawn up plans to conduct a Presidential Sports Award Ceremony for sportsmen and sportswomen who have excelled in athletics from 2021 to 23.
The ceremony is scheduled to be held in June or July 2024 to appreciate and encourage the athletes who have excelled in sports under different categories.
Applications are called from eligible sports persons/sports teams who won medals either at national or international sports competitions held during the period from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.
Awards will be for: Excellent Sports Personality: Senior Athletics team for men and women. Most talented athlete among men and women: Best sports team with special needs among men and women and best athlete with special needs among men and women.
Emerging athletes in the year: Talented team of athletes men and women. Talented athletes men and women. Talented sports team with special needs men and women. Talented athlete with special needs men and women. Talented judges, referee and Technical officer and talented trainer.
For special field of sports: Talented Sports Scholar of the Year. Talented Sport Doctor of the year. Talented Recreational Games Supplier of the year. Talented Promoter of Sports of the Year. Talented Promoter of Sports of the Year (for schools) and Talented Photographer.
