The District Secretary/Government Agent Chandana Tennakoon was once again voted in as president at the AGM of the Kandy Public Services Club held at the club house at Police Barracks Square.
The Kandy Public Services Club plays a role in the welfare of sports activities in the region.
Sir Richard Aluwihare, Gamini Kulatunga together with AB Nillegoda, UBWJ Jayasundaram and Sena Jayarthne were elected as Vice Presidents. Walter Ranansinghe remains as the Secretary while Nishantha Bogahagodagedera is the Treasurer.
Mahamaya girl Yoshini does well in TT
Yoshimi Jayawardane of Mahamaya Girls College made the school proud at the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship held in Kandy.
She was the under-15 team captain that won the under-15 team event silver medal, doubles Silver medal, mix doubles silver medal and single event bronze medal.
