Methushka Krishmal, a right arm off spinner of St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya claimed a hat-trick against Basilica College Ragama in their fixture of the U-15 Division 2 schools cricket tournament.
The Katuneriya Sebastianites in the process bundled out their rivals for 61 in the first innings after declaring at 175 for 7.
In another match of the same tournament, Sinura Wanasinghe of Lyceum International School Nugegoda excelled as an all-rounder as his team won by an inning and 45 runs.
Wanasinghe claimed 12 wickets in the match and scored 50 runs against St. Peter’s College.
Elsewhere in another contest, Shavane Fernando of S. Thomas’ Prep School Colombo scored 111 against Isipathana College while his team-mate Janith Pahasara claimed six wickets for 18 runs.
