Mahinda College, Richmond College, Dharmasoka College and P. De S. Kularathne College Ambalangoda emerged champions in the basketball tournament of the Southern Province School Games conducted by the Department of Southern Province Education.
Mahinda and P. De S. Kularathne emerged champions in the Boys and Girls tournament respectively.
Richmond and Dharmasoka emerged champions in the Under-17 Boys and Girls tournament respectively.
The tournament was held at Mahinda College and St. Aloysius College Galle over the weekend.
Twelve schools qualified for the tournament at the All Island School Games that will be conducted by the Ministry of Education.
Krishan Duminda, deputy education director of the department of Southern Province participated in the awards ceremony.
