The Homagama Dharma Rashmi Poson Zone which spans 13 kilometres of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat division was inaugurated by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at the Green University premises on Friday (June 21). Homagama Sasanarakshaka Bala Mandalaya, the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of Transport and Highways, the Western Provincial Council, Homagama Divisional Secretariat, Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha, Homagama Zonal Education office, the Army and the Police are jointly organising the Poson Zone. The Poson Lantern competition is being held in the Dharma Rashmi Poson Zone in two stages, for adults, and school and Dhamma school students. The rice and curry dansala attended by a large number of people is also being held at the Pitipana Knowledge City, and the Bhakthi Gee concert is being held daily at the Green University premises. The Dharma Rashmi Poson Zone has been organised on a concept of Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Dr.Bandula Gunawardena. Here are some highlights.
