Adani to introduce wall-mounted solar panels in asia

Mundra: For the first time Adani Energy in India is designing wall mounted solar panels to be used in factories and homes to generate power for the Asian market.

Adani official said that this is the first time they are introducing panels that could be fitted to walls of factories, companies and homes to generate solar power similar to that is being done on roofs.

This scheme is popular in Europe and USA but it is something still alien in Asia.

“However, we hope to introduce this in India and then to Asian countries soon,” he said.

Adani official also added that this wall mounted solar panel system would also be ldealfor the Sri Lankan market as the people who have already fitted solar power and needs additional space to generate power could use this method to install this solar and get more power. He also said that today they are exporting most of the solar powered panels manufactured at the facility at Mundra port for exports mainly to USA.

“The company is expanding this facility to meet the demand of the local and Asian market”.

In Mundra, Adani has the second largest renewable energy generating capacity in the world next to France’s Total energy.

Adani official had said that they are ready to invest around USD 100 billion to make more renewable energy Investments until 2030.

“Our plan is to install 600 million solar power panels in this Mundra solar facility by 2029 and we have already commission around 5 million solar panels as ground mounted.

One of the features of this solar installation is that 90% of it is made by robots.

Adani power also plans to have around 800 windmills by 2029 and 50 has already been installed.
