The 21st edition of the Culinary Art Food Expo (CAFE) 2024 was held at the Exhibition Centre, BMICH from June 7-9.
The event was organised by the Chefs Guild Lanka.
CAFE attracted exhibitors and buyers from around the globe, providing a platform for the latest products, services, and technological innovations in the food industry.
The event featured over 2,000 chefs from Sri Lanka and the region, competing for culinary excellence. Spanning the entire food journey from processing to consumption, the event included culinary competitions, trade stalls, food festivals, cookery demonstrations, cooking classes, and the battle of the chefs.
Specialised events such as the Tea, Coconut, and Spice Festival, and sessions on ayurvedic and health benefits of Sri Lankan cuisine were also held. This year’s expo was aimed at changing the perception that culinary exhibitions are only for industry insiders.
