The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested 30 Chinese nationals and 137 Indian nationals for their involvement in online financial fraud.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa said that the Chinese suspects were apprehended on Friday night at a hotel in Negombo for online gambling.
The Indian suspects arrested on Thursday in Negombo, Battaramulla, and Madiwala, will be charged with conducting online financial scams, he said.
CID officers are continuing investigations.
