One person was stabbed to death and five others injured in a brawl at an open venue musical show in Weeraketiya on Friday night police said yesterday.
They said a brawl had broken out between the organisers of the event and a group of youth that had harassed a vendor at the venue.
The injured persons were treated for minor cuts at a local hospital and later discharged. Police are currently looking for the suspects behind the killing.
Weeraketiya police are conducting further investigations.
