Zahira College produced their first win of the second in their fourth attempt as they beat the fancied Vidyartha College by 13 points to 10 in their Dialog inter school League rugby match at Maradana yesterday.

The architect of Zahira’s win was their skipper, Number Eight and play-maker Sabry Sahibu who scored what eventually became a match-winning try in the first half as his team took a 7-3 at half time.

He was ably supported by his scrum half Shabith Feroze who converted the try and put over two penalties.

Vidyartha came tantalizingly close scoring one try by second rower Pasindu Rajapakse that was converted by fly half Rusith Samodya who also put over a penalty.
