An official of Win Int Group presents a, ‘Flower Queen’ product to an invitee at the launch

A new player, Win Int Group of Companies (Pvt) Ltd in France has made its entry to the Sri Lankan dairy market under the brand name, ‘Flower Queen’ powdered milk.

Chairman, Win Int Group, Edwin Joy said that this is the first product that they will be launching in Sri Lanka. “This is being produced, packed and shipped from Dubai.”

He said that as a Sri Lankan entrepreneur he felt that the local dairy market is overpriced and decided to launch this product initially in a 400 gram sachet form. “We will market it under Rs. 900 making it the cheapest daily milk powdered product in Sri Lanka and giving the customer a saving of over Rs. 200.”

He said that they purchase the milk power from a Dubai manufacturing company which is one of the largest milk powder exporters in the country. “Hence, Sri Lankans are assured of healthy and nutritional products at an affordable price.”

He said that subsequent to the marketing of ‘Flower Queen’ milk powder in Sri Lanka and setting up a marketing and distribution system they are exploring the possibility of investing in a milk powder processing factory in Sri Lanka. “We hope to start this next year.”

He said that Win Int Group of Companies is also into many other businesses such as real estate and they will also extend some of these business verticals to Sri Lanka in the future as they see the business environment in Sri Lanka improving.” – SS
