CA Sri Lanka – Australia chapter holds get-together

CA Sri Lanka – Australia Chapter organised Chartered Ball 2024 – The Golden Gala at Springvale City Hall in Victoria, Australia recently.

Over 330 people, including members of the CA Sri Lanka – Australia Chapter, their families, friends and President of CA Sri Lanka, Heshana Kuruppu were present

The event served as a platform for networking and socialising among the professional communities.

The evening began with an address by the President of CA Sri Lanka – Australia Chapter, Krishan Kanagarajah, who highlighted the contributions of the event towards supporting underprivileged students in Sri Lanka.

Kuruppu reflected on the chapter’s growth and recent activities, including the inaugural member community event in March 2024 and the successful business forum in Brisbane.

The CA Sri Lanka President commended the chapter for its remarkable work and extended his heartfelt thanks to the scholarship funds.

Professional awards were presented during the event, with recognition given to Heshana Kuruppu for his services to the CASL community. Special appreciation was also extended to outgoing executive committee members and founding members, Pavithra Siriwardhane, Thushara Sovis, Ishan Pethiyagoda, Sri Pathmanathan, and Kith De Silva, for their boundless contributions to the chapter.

The event was compered by Clifford Richards, with music by Band Mystery and DJ Hax. There were raffle draws to support the scholarship fund and CSR activities in Australia and Sri Lanka, including sponsor draws and entrance ticket draws.

The organising committee led by Krishan Kanagarajah and assisted by Anuruddha Dias, included Indika Mohottige, Irani Narmada, Shelaani Sivananthan, Ashad Perera, Ishan Pethiyagoda, Senthuren Kularasan, Dinesh Arachchige, Thushara Sovis, Pavithra Siriwardhana, Prasad Algama, and Kishodaran Letchumanan.
