Insee Ecocycle, a pioneer in sustainable waste management in Sri Lanka, secured the Gold Award at the Green Industry Awards 2024.

Presented by the Industrial Development Board during the first International Symposium on Green Industry Initiatives for Sustainable Industrial Development, this accolade recognises Insee Ecocycle’s innovative contributions to sustainable industrial practices in the Sound Chemical Management category. The event was held at the BMICH on June 23.

The Industrial Development Board recognises Insee Ecocycle’s dedication and pioneering solutions to industrial waste challenges. Since its inception in 2003, Insee Ecocycle has been at the forefront of sustainable waste management and environmental services, setting new industry standards. Over the years, the company has successfully managed over one million metric tons of waste, collaborating with over 1,500 customers, including local conglomerates, multinational corporations, and government institutions. This achievement underscores Insee Ecocycle’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

General Manager of Insee Ecocycle, Sujith Gunawardhana said, “Insee Ecocycle’s recognition at the Green Industry Awards 2024 not only reaffirms our leadership in sustainable waste management but also sets a precedent for excellence in environmental conservation. This Gold Award is a testament to the dedication and efforts of every employee, partner, and stakeholder who has been part of our journey towards making a cleaner, greener country.”

Insee Ecocycle has expanded its environmental services portfolio to encompass a wide range of solutions, including industrial waste management, municipal solid waste management (MSW), resource recovery from FMCG waste, chemical waste management, industrial cleaning, plastic recycling, and analytical laboratory services, he said.
